The United Party is a brand new political party, and an entirely different way of doing politics, building from the ground up.  Through mutual co-operation, democracy, human rights, good governance, mutual respect, individual liberty, egalitarianism, and multilateralism, we're laying the foundations for a party to listen and represent you, who and where ever you are; this isn't about change, but building something completely new. Our ability to work together is our greatest strength, our future, is what we make it.

To begin this work, in rebuilding trust within our political system, we're not offering promises or pledges, or slogans, but six articles in our accord with the people of the United Kingdom:

1. TACKLING POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS

For far too long now, huge sections of our society have been affected by poverty, deep poverty and very deep poverty, just because there are those in the bottom 20% of society, does not mean they should fall in to poverty and ultimately get left behind.

Poverty has not fallen in the last 20 years, and that's a tragedy; it's a fundamental failure of state, that a duty of care has broken down.

The United Party is committed to lifting millions out of poverty and ending homelessness; this is our first task through the door, through short term solutions that will transform into long term solutions to future proofing society to ensure that  no one will be left behind, everyone has the human right to live a dignified life.

2. MUTUAL CO-OPERATION

Division over the years has caused so much damage, not just to the economy but society and community.  Through mutual co-operation we'll promote social progress and better standards of living for all.  This will be a continuation of accord to tackle poverty, but to also go further

We understand that there are those countries within the United Kingdom seeking independence, but there is no reason why there can't be independence as well as mutual co-operation, we can all listen to and learn from each other to strengthen our ability to provide a duty of care, and prosperity.

Mutual co-operation can go bigger or smaller from here; bigger will be with our closest neighbours in Europe, and smaller, we want to promote and invest in mutual co-operation between constituencies, to make our resources go further in building bigger communities.

We can't get there through promotion of ideas and inspiration alone, we need to finally get taxation right, that includes introducing a wealth tax. Other countries may have found difficulties in implementing and maintaining this, but we can learn from them; the work maybe hard and difficult, but politics should never be about doing what's easy, sometimes the hard way is the right way.

3. REBUILDING OUR NHS, A NEW NATIONAL SERVICE

Health care is critical to our duty of care and it must remain free at the point of use.  Our NHS is recognised around the world as a model for universal healthcare, it is the beating heart of our nations.  For decades now the NHS has been chronically underfunded, and become

We believe that rebuilding our NHS, to also incorporate a new national social care and mental health service, is crucial to bringing this service up to date but also to solve the current social care and mental health crisis. This would be a long term solution, to go further than just reforms, money management, but actual investment; a new NHS for a new century and still free at the point fo use.

4. GREEN SOLUTIONS, GREEN ECONOMY

Promoting, developing and creating green solutions is a pathway to new technologies and infrastructure that can help create new industries, new jobs, transportation, and housing or retrofitting existing housing, to boost a green economy.  Solving environmental issues, finding practical solutions to net zero and building an economy from those solutions should go hand in hand.

New green technologies can create new industries to fill the gaps left by other industries that have since faded or are no longer sustainable.  Through these solutions, there should also be routes (free at the point of access) to education in these new fields and job opportunities, or transferrable skills and jobs.  Green should not mean the end of industry but transformation, to maintain jobs and create new ones.

We have to start an initiative to create a new and greener form of air travel, the potential this can unlock, would beneficial to the world.

And finally our water has been neglected with a costly impact to our waterways and coastline. Water companies should be held accountable and made to pay for the damage they caused, particularly through environmental pollution and infrastructure failures caused by a lack of investment on their part. We will go further by nationalising our water.

5. MULTILATERALISM IS KEY TO OUR FUTURE

Whether you're aware of it or not, multilateralism is everywhere, it affects people’s daily lives in so many ways. It helps reduce conflicts, grow our economies, and allows us to travel safely around the world. It's also crucial for tackling big global complexities like climate change, immigration, trade and new developments like unregulated artificial intelligence.

Communicating the ideals of multilateralism, the fact that our lives are global, the mobiles phones we use, buying products online that come from all over the world, traveling the world for holidays or business, the cars we buy and drive, the food we eat, the clothes we buy.  There is nothing to fear about globalisation, we're already a part of it and probably blissfully unaware that were benefiting from it already.

We believe we can go further and setting the examples of our aforementioned accords, our foundations of what we will do for the people the UK, we can share those ideals, those solutions, and those of others who share theirs with us.

Multilateralism is not some new mythical utopia, we're already doing it, but can do more, we can use it better for trade, the environment, opportunities, international immigration accords and finally mutual defence.

6. REJOINING THE EU

If there's one important lesson that can be learnt from Brexit, and that's communication. Had concerns about the EU been explained, like our own parliamentary processes are explained to the public, it would have categorically explained our involvement in the EU and their involvement with the UK, reinforcing the importance to remain, and the benefits that were felt across the regions and these isles. Separating us from from one of the closest forms of multilateralism that we had, was tantamount to untenable economic vandalism.

It is abundantly clear that we have been worse off since leaving the EU.  Excuses have been made, from political choices or ideologies that completely overlook the facts, that not a single benefit has been attained from Brexit; now more than ever we need to call time on the demonstrable damage the farce of Brexit has caused.

We will take the necessary steps to apply for the UK rejoining the EU, seeking support from EU member states. No slogans, no circus, just pragmatic talks to unity.  Seeking mutual cooperation from other parties in support of rejoining the EU, we will examine the case to return and fully communicating to the British people; with transparency and good governance throughout, why this step is so important and how it impacts all our lives for a greater good, for prosperity, the environment, trade, movement, defence, and our future.
