The truth about immigration is that we can do it better, through rejoining the EU, multilateralism and immigration accords for nations to collectively work together, ensuring safe and legal routes we can manage migration to help each other out.

For perspective; notice the line representing the percentage of those crossing on small boats into the U.K. is barely visible, that’s despite doubling width for visibility on the infographic, because at this scale it was almost invisible. The infographic demonstrates the clear argument that is often used a racist dog whistle to entice hard right voters, that immigration is not the problem at all, neither are those making harrowing crossings in order to seek asylum.

This makes the case the that providing more safe and legal routes, thus curtailing the likelihood of those turning to illegal means; and that at this volume of people per year (approx. 25,000 - 45,000), the expense of providing the above would in no way impact the economy to any extreme whatsoever.

Net migration has seen a decline in recent years; there is always movement up or down in those from the EU and non-EU citizens, in any case if the immigration is managed collectively between nations through an international accord of shared responsibility and duty of care, there is no reason to see any negative impact on society or the fiscal strength of one constituency to the next, or one country to the next.
